Skye O’Donnell is an English language-loving Verbal tutor for SSAT, ACT and SAT college entrance examinations. She is a former Labor and Employment law attorney from New Orleans who has worked in development for non-profits for over 10 years in Charlottesville. Now that her three children have grown independent, Skye feels called to tutor! Each time a student recognizes his or her own linguistic strength, Skye feels reaffirmed in this calling. Skye is also passionate about education and co-founded a non-profit promoting Arts education in the Western feeder pattern of Albemarle County public schools. Prior to law school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in English and Journalism and enjoys writing. Skye is also an active member of the English-Speaking Union of Charlottesville, the Women’s Faith Forum, a former substitute teacher for Albemarle County Public Schools, a Board member of Arts in Western Education and The FACE Project, and a volunteer for Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle’s Wordplay. Skye cherishes being a mother, volunteer, cook, gardener, traveler, hiker, Hoos fan, theatre, and art lover!
